The quality and sustainability of our manufacturing processes is our highest priority, as is the lifestyle balance of those who work for and represent BN3TH.
Our Radically Better Underwear is made in a workplace that empowers its employees to maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle while using sustainable practices and minimizing waste and lowering environmental impact as part of a complete vision.
In 2014 our co-founder Dez Price went to Shanghai to visit our first manufacturer in China, while there Dez got in touch with Clyde the owner of Venitra, a state-of-the-art and environmentally conscious facility through a mutual friend.
After meeting up they quickly became friends and bonded over the creation of radical new products with responsible processes. Even though they met in Shanghai, Clyde is from Vancouver, went to school in Point Grey and worked at a large bank in Toronto before being called home to take over Ventira from his father just a few years before meeting us.
Clyde, JJ and the rest of the team at Venitra have been through every up and down hand-in-hand with BN3TH, and together we have always had each other’s backs. So, over the years Venitra isn’t just a partner manufacturing to us, they are an extension of who BN3TH is, they are family.
When we challenged Clyde that we wanted to be produced in an even greener and more sustainable way he not only just rose to the challenge he built the most advanced sustainable factory in a setting that every one of us would love to live!
Our factory, in Chizhou, Anhui, within China’s most picturesque province is at the forefront of sustainable and compliant clothing manufacturing. They have also incorporated solar and water protection practices to reduce the impact on the natural environment. On top of all that, they have an incredible level of workmanship, using state of the art equipment that delivers the Radically Better Underwear we’re proud to stand by (and wear every day).
We’ve made every effort to find a location capable of producing the highest quality, sustainably sourced and ethical processes and our partners in China came out way ahead. They’re leading efforts in environmentally-focused practices, like our use of TENCEL™ Modal fibers, where 1,800 pairs of BN3TH undies are made from just 1 tree, and for every 1 tree used, 1 tree is planted.
TENCEL™ Modal fibers help to maintain the environmental balance by being integrated into nature´s cycle. The fibers originate from the renewable raw material wood, harvested in Austria. The certified biobased fibers are manufactured using an environmentally responsible production process. The fibers are certified as compostable and biodegradable, and thus can fully revert to nature.
As part of a global family, we’re more than happy to support the communities that help us deliver BN3TH to you. From our huge steps forward in environmental standards including our manufacturing work with a local recycling company to have any waste wool recycled into carpets, clothing, hosiery, gloves and baize. Our water is cleaned and recycled. We are constantly looking for ways to further reduce waste and our environmental footprint.
